FAQs about shisha

Does the water bowl act to purify the aerosol?

Answer: NO

Water does not purify the aerosol; its role is purely functional. Without water, the aerosol produced by the shisha head cannot be drawn into the pipe.

Is all shisha flavored?

Answer: YES

Except for black molasses, which is common in Egypt but rare elsewhere, all shisha is flavored. Flavored shisha is fundamentally different from black molasses. Black molasses, for instance, typically contains higher levels of tobacco and nicotine and has a low glycerin content. As a result, it must be smoked by placing charcoal directly on the tobacco mixture, which burns it and releases higher levels of toxicants.

Al Fakher does not produce any unflavored shisha. Our products are not designed for direct charcoal application. Instead, our flavored shisha contains about 40% glycerin, a vital ingredient that enables the shisha to be consumed without burning the mixture.
